Slim Profile Glass Partitions.
Engineered slimline partition systems that create private zones without making a space feel smaller. Six configurations for offices and homes. In-house since 2000.
Against heavy walls. For open privacy.
A slim profile partition divides a space and keeps it open. Ultra-slim aluminium frames step back so the room keeps its light. Safety glass carries the privacy load. You get both: a defined zone and an unenclosed interior.
The systems are engineered, not assembled from catalogue parts. Profiles are manufactured in-house by Birkan Engineering Industries Pvt. Ltd., active since 2000 in architectural glass and aluminium. Six configurations, four glass types, five finish directions.

Where slim profile partitions work best.
The system is equally at home in a fitted office and in a high-end residence. The engineering is the same; the glass and finish direction changes to suit the context.

Six configurations. One manufacturing standard.

Choose glass by what the room needs.
The glass decides how much you see, how much sound crosses, and how the light moves. We recommend the direction based on the room type and the privacy requirement.

Clear toughened
When the room should stay visually one room. 8 mm CTG.

Fluted
Light without a clear view. Texture that reads well in both office and home.

Frosted
Privacy and soft light. We recommend this for cabins, study zones, and clinics.

Fabric laminated
Decoration, sound-insulation properties, and UV resistance. 9.52 mm.
Fixed, sliding, or openable.
The right configuration depends on how the room is used, how much the opening needs to clear, and how the panels stack. We advise on this before drawing, not after.

Fixed
Permanent separation. Best where the zone does not need to open. Ultra-slim frames disappear into the room.
Up to 1200 mm wide, 3000 mm tall.

Sliding
Panels slide on a top track to clear wide openings. Telescopic and synchronized variants stack into minimal space.
Up to 1200 mm / 3000 mm, 120 kg per frame.

Openable
Slide-and-fold and soft-close systems open from one or both sides with controlled damping at each end.
Slide-and-fold: up to 700 mm / 2400 mm, 40 kg per frame.
Privacy and acoustics: the honest answer.
Glass partitions do not match a full wall for sound isolation. But they do not need to. The right combination of glass, seals, and detailing handles most office and home privacy requirements.
- For office cabins and meeting rooms
- Frosted or fabric-laminated glass with perimeter seals and a tight door profile handles most commercial privacy requirements. Clear glass with an acoustic seal still reduces ambient corridor noise significantly.
- For home zones
- Fixed panels in frosted or fluted glass create visual privacy without the acoustic needs of a formal meeting room. For study zones or bedroom dividers, this is usually the right balance.
- What affects performance most
- Glass type and thickness, door style and seal quality, frame-to-wall junction detailing, and installation precision. We advise on each before finalising a specification.

Questions buyers ask before they enquire.
They reduce ambient noise but are not acoustically sealed like a full wall. Sound performance depends on glass choice (thicker or laminated glass helps), door style, perimeter seals, junction detailing, and installation quality. Frosted and fabric-laminated glass options offer better damping than clear toughened. We advise on the realistic expectation for your room type before installation.
Clear toughened glass gives visual openness with no screening. Fluted glass gives partial privacy: you see shapes and light, not detail. Frosted gives strong privacy while keeping the space light. Fabric-laminated gives full visual privacy plus texture. We recommend the glass direction based on your use case.
Fixed panels are permanent, rigid zones. They use the least floor space and have no moving parts. Sliding systems allow the zone to open when you need a larger combined space. The correct choice depends on how often you need the opening clear and how much wall run you have for the panel stack.
Black matt, brushed gold, rose gold, anodised, and powder-coated in custom colours. Black matt suits most modern office and residential interiors. Brushed gold and rose gold work in warmer interiors. Anodised and powder-coated options allow project-specific matching.
The process runs: share photos, site measurement, final drawing and quote, then installation. We follow a 15-day measured installation process from measurement to completion on a standard job. Complex multi-room or large-span projects may vary.
3 years on moving and functional hardware, 10 years on the outer frame coating. Both in writing.
